Fareham (8s) Vs USPHC

It was a lovely warm sunny Saturday evening. US had ventured into the unknown wasteland called fareham. The game set off, US started off on the defensive with the old fareham players making a few good attacks, little did they know that we had a secret weapon called dinger who, with his trusty defense sidekicks stopped every barrage that fareham threw at them. 10 long minutes had gone and US had started to improve, with some great passes US scored our first goal. This goal set in motion more great passing and US continued to keep possession resulting in another goal. The first half was a win, fareham were 2 goals down and looked to be no threat to our victory and then it all changed. The second half began, the sun was setting, the wind increasing and the temperature dropping. If only we had known of the terror ahead of us. We started strong but fareham pushed hard resulting in fareham's first goal. A startled US tried to recover but it was futile, the experienced fareham players were making good progress and scored another goal. It was a draw 2-2. What had the world come too. Push back started with US making some good runs but being stopped by fareham's defense which resulted in counter attacks. Little did they know the US defense has forgot they were playing hockey and thought they were playing a lovely game of football instead. Short corner after short corner meant that fareham had scored some more goals. The final score was 5-2 to Fareham
