United Services took a while to settle into the game this week and West Meon took full advantage, scoring in the 8th and 9th minutes. However, United Services quickly regained their composure and held Meon for the remainder of the 1st half. It was United Services turn to start the second half strong with a number of Penalty corners. Mollie Norris was finally able to bury the ball 10minutes into the second half, picking up the rebound from her first strike to lift it over the goalie. Injector Gill Glover-Bell then followed up with a beautifully worked penalty corner manoeuvre with Robynne Batley-Mallet, with Gill receiving the ball back and slotting it home from a tight angle. Unfortunately, West Meon were not at all pleased to lose their lead and fought back, grabbing a winning goal in the dying minutes. Final result, 3-2 to West Meon.
