Still unbeaten!!

M1 match report:

US stepped out onto the grounds of fortress Temeraire for the third time season looking to extend their unbeaten run to 5 games on the trot. Against a Haslemere side fresh off the back of a 6-0 win against Hamble the week prior.
Both sides got off to a shaky start, with US not at their best.US could have found themselves 1-0 down were it not for the umpires declaring the goal invalid after a lengthy discussion. This paired with a penalty flick call, it seemed to give US the kick up arse they needed.
Jamie Martin struck first, with a lethal shot into the bottom right corner during one of US infamous short corner routines. US converted for a second time with a lifted ball along the baseline which fell to Jack Ferrett who took a 2 touches, one to control the second to slot through the keepers legs from 3 yards; some say it was a mis-hit some say a great goal.
Then Haslemere scored some fluky goal to end the first half 2-1.
The 2nd was an even affair, with both teams pushing for the win. Haslemere levelled the score with a well struck ball from the 25 to the far post and the oncoming striker.
Tension were running high for the last 10 mins but US came out on top, with Michael Pugh converting the winning goal within a crowded D.
Final score 3-2 to United Services
MOM – Matt ‘The Cat’ Ketcher
DOD – Dudders
